PROFESSIONAL INSPECTIONS

Inspections for a Streamlined Acquisition

Our team offers professional equipment inspections as you take on a new business venture, so you can rest assured that there are no surprises during or after your acquisition.

We provide a rating of each machine based on the overall appearance, the exterior and interior components, the age of the machine, and any potential major issues such as bearings.

We will also give a basic review of the state of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and if needed, may recommend partnering with other service professionals for a more in-depth inspection of these systems.

All inspections include the convenience of:

  • Flexible Scheduling

  • Thorough Assessments - we conduct comprehensive evaluations of the equipment, examining all components, identifying potential issues and determining the overall condition of the machines

  • Transparent Communication - we provide detailed reports, outlining our findings, and explain our recommendations in non-technical terminology

  • Tailored Solutions - we customize our recommendations based on your needs

  • Digital Records - we keep digital records of all inspections ensuring easy access for you throughout the life of the business

  • Post-Inspection Support - we are available to answer any follow up questions, provide additional information, and guide you through the decision-making process

Did You Know?

New Jersey Commercial Laundry Repair is the only commercial laundry services company in New Jersey that conducts professional laundry facility inspections!

We take this responsibility seriously and go above and beyond to help ensure your business acquisition is everything you expect—and no hidden surprises you don’t.

How The Inspection Process Works

  • Make an appointment

    Schedule Your Inspection

First and foremost, permission is needed from the seller of the laundry facility for our team to perform the inspection. Call or email NJCLR preferably 2-3 weeks before your inspection is due so we can reserve our technician team. If this is not possible—still reach out. We will try our best to schedule it as soon as we can!

  • Laundry inspection

    On Inspection Day

We go through every machine and check the status of your equipment. We complete a multi-point inspection and estimate the cost of parts needed to complete any needed repairs. We also look at the layout, plumbing and electrical from a laundromat operational standpoint to make sure it suits the store and any changes the new owner would like to complete.

  • Inspection Report

    Receive Your Inspection Report

Within a week you’ll receive a full detailed report describing the status and needed repairs of each machine. We also give a full write up of best practices that we would suggest for the store to succeed which may include adjustments to layout, plumbing, or modern equipment upgrades.

What can you expect?

Yours may look a little different, but hopefully also passes with flying colors!

What Else Do You Need to Know?

How much does an inspection cost?

We offer inspections for laundromats and facilities of any size. Pricing starts at $75 per machine ($1,500 minimum). If repairs or upgrades are needed, those costs are additional and we can also provide dealer pricing on name-brand machines and card reader systems to help offset modernization costs.

What do I need to do before scheduling an inspection?

Your responsibility is to get permission from and inform the current owner that we would be coming and when they can expect us. If they have specific keys to access sections of the store we would need them there to give us access. We do have most machine keys but we prefer the owner of the store also has the maintenance keys on hand in case it's an odd setup.

Why would my laundry business require an inspection?

We suggest doing an inspection when you are looking to buy a laundromat or looking to sell one. It can be beneficial to buyers and sellers to help the transaction go smoothly.

What software do you use for inspections and reporting?

We built out an inspection model on our Simpro software and used it ourselves for years to inspect and test operations on our own laundromats. This has optimized the process and gives an exceptionally clean report to the customers broken down by machine quantity, model and serial number, as well as the condition of the parts we inspected and if the machine needs repairs.

How long does a professional inspection take?

Inspections usually take a full day ranging from 3-6 hours depending on the size of the store. During the inspection, the business remains fully operational and do not disrupt the operations of your business.
